El Gobierno provincial instalará en Quitilipi, la primera planta de energía solar fotovoltaica del Chaco, obra que en Sudamérica, sólo tiene un antecedente en la provincia de San Juan.
En ese marco, en la jornada de este martes 7 de enero, en el Club Social de la mencionada localidad, con una nutrida participación, se realizó la audiencia pública para tratar el impacto de dicho proyecto con una nutrida participación de la comunidad local, en donde técnicos dieron detalles de la megaobra que en dos etapas permitirá adherir 20 megavatios (MW) al sistema eléctrico provincial. Por otro lado, se informó que además de la planta de 20 hectáreas para colocar paneles, se construirá una gran estación transformadora.
El proyecto es encabezado por el Gobierno del Chaco a través de Secheep y el Ministerio de Infraestructura, conjuntamente con la Compañía Administradora del Mercado Mayorista Eléctrico (Cammesa) y la firma privada UCSA. La energía solar térmica tiene como gran ventaja la de reemplazar a otras fuentes como combustibles o nucleares.
El proyecto es financiado por el Ministerio de Planificación Federal de la Nación, y el monto es de 25 millones de dólares en el caso de la planta fotovoltaica y 60 millones de pesos, la estación transformadora.
